Have you ever looked at the label on a bottle of water? The chances are that you will not find any important information about the source of the water (tap water, spring water, etc.), how the water was purified, and what contaminants remain in the water you are about to drink. The reason for this is that there are no current regulations requiring any company to relay this important information to the consumer. Municipal Water Companies are regulated and must perform to government standards. Don't you think it strange that private bottle water companies can get by with little or no disclosure? This is an industry much like the mortgage lending industry where the lack of regulations dupes the public into thinking it is getting something it is not. The problem for the public is not knowing which companies are producing good drinking water and which are not. Many people complain about the price of gasoline, but openly spend more for bottle water that they know nothing about. More recently it was announced that carcinogens from the plastic bottles are leaching into the water in the bottles as well.
Our health care industry is breaking at the seams as our overall health gets poorer and poorer causing more treatment and use of drugs. Proper hydration of our body with pure water should be the basis or foundation of good health care. How can our government representatives avoid addressing this basic need? Millions are putting poor water in their bodies throughout the day. A friend tells me he is not worrying about it as his body will make antibodies to fight the carcinogens entering his body. This may be well and good, but how does he know whether there is a negative effect that may surface in months or years later and cause a major illness. Realize that you most likely do not get sick overnight. There is a gradual wear and tear on the body until it breaks down or triggers a cleansing process. Needless to say, I am not a doctor, but simply use common sense to make health related decisions to avoid having to go to a doctor for him/her to help with more acute health problems. Doesn't it make sense not to have to put bad things in our body in the first place and not force the body to have to rid itself of them?
Some people and restaurants are opting to use tab water because it is tested for contaminants. However, even with the testing there are announcements to boil water or not drink it because of harmful bacteria found in a particular water district's water treatment plant. I read about this all the time. At present these are isolated occurrences, but they do happen. I also choose not to drink water with chlorine or fluoride added to it as I do not want to put these poisons in my body on a daily basis. I also am aware that the steam from long showers also causes me to breathe these poisonous fumes.
Because of the number of contaminates found in our ground water that is a source of water coming out of the tap, and not knowing the real purity of water in bottles, here is what I did. I opted for a more safe solution. I now generate all my drinking water from the air. Yes, four years ago I purchased my own air to water generator. It produces all the water I need to drink on a daily basis. Actually, it is enough for an entire family to drink on a daily basis. There are even commercial units that can produce very large amounts of water. I was told the standard for pure water is ten particles per million. I tested my water generator water and it generates three particles per million of pure water. I don't have to buy water anymore. It is pure and it tastes absolutely fantastic.
The principle of using the water generator is simple. It sucks air into the unit and passes through a special air filter to remove pollutants from the air. As a result a secondary benefit of the unit is to purify the air as it makes water. Special coils condense the water in the air, and the created water then passes through nine additional filters that include three UV lights, a sediment filter, pre-carbon and post carbon filters, and a zero waste RO filter. Yes, this unit delivers better water than Reverse Osmosis. The water is stored in a stainless steel holding tank, and is recycled continuously to maintain its fresh pristine taste and purity.
The unit weights around one hundred pounds and stands under four feet tall. You do not need to learn how to set-up the unit. Simply plug it in to the wall, and you will have water by the next day. It is made for either 110 V. or 220 V. The unit has a self-monitoring micro computer, and a touch screen to monitor the use of the unit. You can get a unit with a heating element and a special holding tank for hot instant water or if you don't want that then have a larger single cold water stainless steel holding tank.
I never have to worry about running out of water as there are 3.1 quadrillion gallons of water in the atmosphere. It produces water in greater quantities based on the temperature and humidity at the location of the unit. Just think about having a continuous supply of fresh, pure drinking water. All you have to do is to periodically wash off the air filter and it should run fine. The filters and UV lights are replaced every 1-2 years. My unit has a one year warranty. The unit is supposed to last as long as any appliance.
Even though the technology has been around for decades, the manufacture of these water generators is relatively new. The cost is relatively high at present, and I have heard that not all companies manufacture efficient water generators. I urge you to take your time to do your own careful research before you consider purchasing a unit. However, I am pleased that I made this choice.
